Moventas Santasalo Oy and Tornio based Tormets Oy have entered into an agreement covering the service and maintenance of mechanical power transmission equipment in Northern Finland and Northern Sweden. The cooperation will enhance Moventas Santasalo’s offerings to these markets throughout the entire industrial gear life-cycle with after-sales services that maintain the competitiveness of customers’ production processes.

The cooperation will improve Moventas Santasalo’s local maintenance and spare parts availability, additionally providing local technical support and rapid response to customers in the region. Tormets will perform drive maintenance and field services as well as installations and installation supervision. The aim is to offer customers a turnkey maintenance service, allowing customers to focus on their production processes and productivity development.

Tormets also serves as the local Moventas Santasalo authorized workshop. Local gear maintenance services performed to Moventas Santasalo maintenance standards strengthens the overall maintenance offering close to the customer. Tormets’ machining and grinding capabilities as well as capacity are well suited to the servicing and maintenance of Moventas Santasalo drives.
