Santasalo® modular gear unit meeting stringent requirements

Moventas designs and manufactures a full range of gear drives for mineral processing applications, such as grinding, process equipment, pyro and bulk material handling. On our booth No. 6F16, we will showcase one of our gear units from the modular helical gear series shown in the picture.

This Santasalo gear unit is of an application-based design and meets the stringent requirements of mineral processors with precision in grinding applications and conveying. It is equipped with the Santasalo Drive Monitoring Unit (DMU), which enables performance monitoring of a drive unit, either in real time, as part of regular inspections, or a combination of the two. The DMU helps to predict potential failures in order to avoid unnecessary shutdowns, and provides valuable input for process development work.
