April 20, 2009 Moventas developed the next generation vertical roller mill drives in co-operation with Loesche GmbHMoventas has developed and launched a new bevel planetary gear model for high demanding dry-grinding applications with Loesche GmbH, producer of plants for the cement, mineral and power generation industries. "The co-operation with Loesche GmbH in developing and designing a new generation of vertical roller mill drives was marked by a strong and deep co-operation just from the beginning. In working together with Loesche GmbH we have got a good understanding of the milling process and the customer requirements. Together with Loesche, I believe, we have found the most optimal and reliable solution for any new dry-milling power transmissions. Moventas' new next generation KL drive model is available in eight sizes for power ratings of up to 1.600 kW and drive torques of up to 520.000 Nm in a vertical mill. Various pre-designed equipment packages are also available and the drive can be equipped in line with the various special requirements. Moventas complete service offering covers the drive unit preventive maintenance for unit's continuous operation, spare parts availability and quick responses for emerging service needs. “The cooperation with Moventas in the project dry-grinding plant Niederaussem always went smoothly and target-oriented.
