November 12, 2009 Moventas joins the Cleantech Finland programMoventas, the third largest wind gear manufacturer in the world and the biggest employer in wind power in Finland, has become member in the Cleantech Finland program. Cleantech Finland unites the top Finnish cleantech companies and experts, with products, services, processes and technologies that prevent or reduce the impact of harmful actions on the environment. "We have strong competence and top-of-class technological solutions to answer to the global renewable energy needs and especially wind as the most mature area among them. Through the Cleantech Finland network and co-operation we can promote our capabilities in the right context ", says Jukka Jäämaa, the CEO of Moventas. In addition to wind gears, Moventas also manufactures power transmission solutions for industry use. Approximately one third of their end use is connected with renewable energy. Moventas also has a global service network and ability to take care of the gear units and provide expert services throughout the product life cycle.
