Appointments in Moventas Supply Chain Management

Moventas strengthens its supply chain management and establishes new Category Manager -positions into the organization.

The following Category Managers have been appointed as of June 1, 2008:
Raw steel and bar steel - Reinhard Nickel
Forgings and rolled rings- Rami Luoma-aho
Finnish Subcontracting- Jari Kurjenmäki
Besides his current role as head of the global supply chain management, Tomi Koskinen will be category manager for bearings.

Category managers have company wide responsibilities for the sourcing performance in the assigned key categories. They identify alternative sources of supply and manage existing supplier relationships. Category managers report to the head of global supply chain. The persons working in the business area sourcing functions continue to report in matrix to their current supervisors.

Arto Tolvanen (Jyväskylä), Jyrki Klemola (Karkkila) and Klaus Eronen (Wuppertal) continue as heads of local purchasing functions in Wind Gears and Industrial Gears.
Reinhard Nickel continues as area sourcing manager in central Europe.
Rami Luoma-aho continues as area sourcing manager in Eastern Europe and Asia.
Seppo Laitinen is the technical support for Finnish subcontracting.
