Jyväskylä - Human Technology city

Jyväskylä is the capital of the central Finland. All four seasons of the year Jyväskylä is full of activity. The city has 85 300 inhabitants and the whole region of central Finland about 270 000. Jyväskylä is the city of human proportions. Compact city centre offers a lot of possibilities for a traveller. Jyväskylä is the venue for a number of cultural events with long traditions. Three areas, or clusters, have been especially selected: the development of new-generation machines and equipment, bioenergy as a resource, and developing housing and living.
