Welcome to IEA topical expert meeting in Jyväskylä! Moventas is one of the leading companies supplying main gear units to wind turbines globally. We support wind energy market growth by providing reliable mechanical power transmission technology and life cycle services for our customers. At the moment we are significantly increasing our production capacity to meet the growing demand. Two and half years ago we shaped a new strategy for our company. At that time we launched a 2010 strategy goal which aim was to double our net sales, triple the profitability and create added value to our four stakeholders. Today I am proud to say we did it. And we did it in two and half years of time instead of five. We have had good conditions to grow and we should not forget that the basis for our growth is in the knowledge and expertise gained during the decades of our history. Wind turbine market is about to continue its growth also in the future. In Finland the ministry of empoyment and economy has settled a target and national strategy for usage of renewable energy. At the moment some 25% of total energy consumption in Finland is produced with renewable solutions. Basically, the amount of current electricity consumption in total could be collected by modern windfarms with about 3000 square kilometers, which is under 1% of Finland land area. The potential is huge, not only in Finland but also in other countries.
