Moventas offers a comprehensive gear product range for vertical and horizontal water turbines.

In water turbine applications, the drive unit must withstand high loads, extreme conditions and high speeds. The gear geometry of Moventas' gears is optimal for achieving low noise and vibration levels. The gearbox bearings and lubrication systems are also designed to operate with high runaway speeds.

Marine

"Valmet marine gears" are well known for their reliability in the marine industry. The company behind these gear units is nowdays called Moventas. In our Jyväskylä factory, we have produced gear units for more than 700 vessels since 1969, sailing all over the world.
