Moventas Spain hosts first seminar in non-conventional technical debate format

Moventas Spain organizes its first technical seminar through four lively round table debates between key manufacturers, main utility companies, industry organizations and research centers discussing methods of selecting critical components during the gearbox lifecycle.

Moventas Spain hosted 39 guests during its first seminar held on June 24, 2015. CENER and Spares in Motion served as key note speakers and participated in the round table discussions along with Iberdrola, Hydac, SKF, Sincro Mecanica, Cogelsa, Ingeteam Service, ZF Service and EDP.

The four seminar topics consisted of the following:

1. Selection of new Vs refurbished gearboxes. Pooling system management.
2. Maintenance and selection of spare parts and accessories
3. Internal components. Quality standards.
4. Is workshop full load testing a valid verification method? Yes or no?

Each session evolved into a lively debate between key manufacturers, main utility companies, industry organizations and research centers sharing their unique points of view of selecting critical components during the gearbox lifecycle.

“We believe that flexibility and added value propositions need to be the drivers for Moventas Spain in our changing and challenging market. Only listening to the market’s needs we will be able to provide a top class service. These debates are a perfect platform to get a clear picture of real life situations from the main players”, says Country Manager Diego García.

The informal and innovative seminar format allowed open dialogue to evolve into a group discussion between all members of the conference.

“Magnificent initiative. An open debate that raised all important questions in the day to day industry. Congratulations to the Moventas team for organizing it. We hope for more to come!” – Spares in Motion Sales Director Isabel Gonzalez.

Moventas Spain is a branch to its Finnish operations and was incorporated in 2011. Its growth has led to a more active role in the Spanish Wind Industry and sees the importance in collaborating within the community. Plans are underway to host next live and web seminars soon.
