Moventas, one of the world’s leading wind gear manufacturers and service providers, has established a subsidiary in Italy to reinforce its presence and service portfolio in the country. Existing and new customers will now enjoy local technical and commercial support.
Moventas Italy already has a good customer portfolio, which will now benefit from this investment by having a local technical and commercial interface. Moventas Italy will also support customers in Greece, Turkey and Eastern Europe.
The Italian subsidiary will have a local service team with a wide range of local service products and technical support. Moventas Italy’s service portfolio includes gearbox inspections, uptower repair, spare parts, upgrades and overhaul.
Moventas also offers a state-of-the-art condition management system, CMaS, for real-time preventive maintenance of wind gears, also providing 24/7 support with Moventas gearbox experts on call only a hotline number away.
The subsidiary is located close to Milan and run by Lorenzo Monaco, who has been with Moventas since 2012.
– The market in Italy, as well as in Europe, has changed significantly. We believe our service approach that emphasizes prolonging older gearboxes’ lives and reducing O&M costs is beneficial to the clientele in this area, Monaco comments.
In addition to the Italian subsidiary, Moventas also has a Spanish unit in Madrid and a French unit in Bordeaux, all supporting wind park owners and OEMs in this large market.
